Where is the convention being held?
The convention is being held at the Adelaide Convention Centre, North Terrace, Adelaide, South Australia.

When is the convention being held?
The convention will run from Saturday 16 October to Wednesday 20 October 2010.

What is the conference dress code?
The following dress code is recommended:

  • Saturday Race Day - (please click here to view dress code)
  • Welcome Reception - casual
  • Golf Tournament - dress code restrictions
  • Business Sessions - business casual
  • Abacus 2010 Gala Dinner - 80’s theme

For those attending tours, please wear comfortable shoes suitable for walking.

Do I need to pre-select which sessions I attend?
Yes, please complete the registration form indicating which of the streams you are interested in attending. The Emerging Leader program is an interactive workshop style program. As such, delegates wishing to attend the Emerging Leader program will be required to attend all the EL sessions.

When does registration close?
You can register online or by faxing the registration form to the convention secretariat until Thursday, 7 October 2010. After this time, you will need to register onsite at the Convention Registration Desk at the Adelaide Convention Centre. The Registration Desk will be open from 10am on Saturday, 16 October 2010.

Should I have received a confirmation letter?
Yes, once you register for the convention, you will receive a confirmation letter within seven (7) business days, this will summarise all necessary information on your participation at the convention including your accommodation booking. If you have any specific queries about the convention, please call the convention secretariat on +61 2 9436 0232.

What happens if I am unable to attend and need to cancel my registration?
Cancellation received in writing to the convention secretariat no later than COB Friday, 24 September 2010 will incur a $100 cancellation fee. Cancellations received after this time will receive NO refund, however, a replacement delegate can be sent with no penalty charged but must be advised to the Convention Secretariat in writing.

Cancellations of accommodation must be submitted in writing to the Convention Secretariat before Monday, 13 September 2010. Accommodation deposits will NOT be refunded on or after Monday, 13 September 2010.

Delegates who confirm attendance and provide credit card details but do not advise of cancellation before the 30 day period of conference commencement will incur charges for the 'no-show' rate, as penalised by the hotel. This charge is calculated as the room rate per night multiplied by the dates booked and secured. Please ensure that the accommodation dates are correct on your registration.
