Stream C Session Two (28/10/09)
Pricing and Fees
Albert Einstein famously quipped that “imagination is more powerful than knowledge”. Pricing, however, is a unique discipline where the pre–requisite is most certainly knowledge over imagination! The impact of pricing decisions has never been more transparent for small –medium ADIs.

Phil Lance from the NAB will talk to the ‘science of pricing’ and test your own pricing skills in a practical exercise. Following discussions on pricing, we move to the issue of fees…nothing captures the imagination of your members more than fees. With pressure on margins set to be a feature of the financial services landscape for some time, decisions on fees can have a major impact.

Hear from an experienced building society on their approach to “setting fees on products relative to costs”, and join with your peers to discuss the challenges faced by small–medium sized ADIs in this space.
